Immersive experience
Absolutely enjoyed listening to this particular audiobook! The plot itself and George Blagden’s performance made it truly wonderful. I loved simple language, storyline and how he masterfully conveyed the feeling that the characters are alive. It is due to his performance that I heard how medieval and modern dialects sound like which really added spice to the book. The only thing that annoyed me is how he voiced some female characters which sounded too unnatural. As for major downsides compared to the book, it was difficult to remember or come back to these 40 rules which, as far as I remember, are highlighted in the book. But you will get the overall idea after all. The other downside is the confusion with dates and places as the stories intertwine and progress. However, everything became clearer closer to the end. To sum up, I am very much satisfied with the experience of listening to the audiobook and am looking for something as immersive as this!
