Best yet, for me!
I love all the books in the series, but the audio book of this one is outstanding, there is a chunk near the end on dementia, just brilliant. I am a chap who never cry’s, but I was very close to tears.
Audio version hard to listen to
I very much enjoyed the books read by Lesley but this narrator whispered the entire role of Joyce and it became more difficult to listen to as it went on and I’m sure the whispering became more exaggerated. I’m struggling to finish it as the narration is actually unpleasant. I’m enjoying the book but I definitely won’t buy another unless it’s read by another narrator
