Fantastic
I loved every single second of this book, it's enchanting and gripping, so complex with the depth of each character. I cant wait to read more from the authors of the beautiful creatures chronicles.
Good reads
I was hesitant to read these books on account of the reviews for the film that just came out. However, I am glad that I decided to try the first book out. It hooked me in, was eery and dark and made it quite spooky to read at night in the dark despite the fact the content in the books isn't scary. I really found myself drawn in to Gatlin and the characters, especially the three aunts who were absolutely hilarious! The only downside is the relationship between Lena and Ethan, in my opinion, although it was expressed that their love is fierce and immense, and it was obvious they cared for each other a lot, I still didn't feel much chemistry between them. Also, Ethan seemed to express his feelings more than Lena. This being said the books were a great read although the prices are a bit steep.
Beautiful Redemption
Clever story, all the pieces start to fit nicely together. Seemed a little rushed in places, almost as you would expect screenplay. Didn't stop it from becoming a very interesting and good read though.
Brilliant characters too. You can vividly picture Gatlin and its surroundings. I'm going to miss it!
