David Baldacci’s Memory Man stories are built on a fascinating hook—Detective Amos Decker used to be an NFL player before a brutal hit gave him the ability to remember every single detail of his life. In the series’ fifth book, Decker returns to his small hometown in Ohio to revisit his first-ever murder case and begins to wonder if he got it all wrong. Decker is a heartbreaker of a hero, a man who’s faced real personal tragedy and loss, but keeps going anyway. Baldacci does a great job of depicting the realities of Decker’s situation—unfortunately, remembering everything also means never being able to forget your mistakes. As always, the tag team narration of Kyf Brewer and Orlagh Cassidy (who plays the book’s female characters) gives an already engrossing mystery a conversational quality that makes it feel even more intimate and exciting.

Very impressed with the story, writing, and mostly the characters. Amos Decker is a superb protagonist. And the narration is stellar.
Redemption
Another James Patterson book that was hard to put down! Totally recommend!
THe Redemption by David Baldacci
Baldacci hit rock bottom on this novel. I have read all his novels and he seems to be heading downhill fast. This book is dull, implausible, and written at a fifth grader level at best. Baldacci is certainly past his prime years. Do not spend the money on this book that defie logic and common sense. This is just pLAIN DULL.
