Timing is a major issue for the heroine of this supernatural romance. Deeply unconfident Delphie Bookham is a lonely 27-year-old virgin who, after choking on a bite of cheeseburger, finds herself in a sort of purgatory. That’s where she experiences love at first sight with Jonah, another recent arrival. But the joke’s on her—he’s there due to an admin glitch and gets sent back to Earth. So a kind overseer decides to give Delphie 10 days back in the land of the living to find Jonah and earn his love. Kirsty Greenwood makes us feel what it’s like to be Delphie—with all her anxiety—while letting us laugh at every outrageous turn of fate she encounters. Sofia Oxenham’s narration captures all the color and fun of Greenwood’s prose and makes you feel like you’re right there, sharing Delphie’s literally death-defying search for Mr. Right.

Funny and original. A MUST SUMMER READ.
A must summer read! The story is funny and original. Kudos to the author! Plus, the narrator had the perfect speed to keep you engaged. I enjoyed her ability to express the characters emotions during the read. Which made it all the funnier. I did not want to pause the book.
