Confession: I’m known for writing the best happily ever afters… but I don’t believe in love.
But you’re not allowed to say that on live TV when you’re promoting the movie based on your book. The movie producers will get really mad and threaten to cancel the sequel. Unless you can prove to the public that you have a boyfriend. A real one not nestled in the pages of a book.
Jonas seems like the perfect option for a fake boyfriend–a vanilla accountant that I would never in a million years catch feelings for. That is until I get to know him more…
He’s dependable, thoughtful, and has the kind of family I wish I’d had growing up.
This fake relationship was supposed to save my career from ruin, but now I’m worried it will ruin my heart instead.
Hello Fake Boyfriend is a spicy rom com told from dual perspectives featuring a confident plus size heroine, a hot (and totally not boring) accountant, and plenty of spice. Readers 18 and up, enjoy. ;)
Customer Reviews
Ya’ll are crazy on Goodreads!
Getting into this one, I heard it doesn’t have the best reviews, and now having finished it I don’t know why…. But coming from someone who understands Mara’s background and self-sabotage, I thought her story was so beautifully done and emotional.
I saw a review saying, “I know she had an awful upbringing, but the self-sabotaging was annoying. Mara doesn’t deserve Jonas.”
I highly disagree. Im sorry a lot of you people don’t like substance and something to relate to in your reading, that reading something about childhood trauma and what that looks like for someone in adulthood and how that affects your life and relationships something to be off putted by. I’m truly sorry it makes you uncomfortable. This is my favorite book from Kelsie Hoss so far!
God I hate the female lead
The books ok over all but the female lead is terrible, like I know she holds trauma but she’s been going to therapy and the amount she lets it honestly affect her and those around her is insane. She’s incredibly self centered and just annoying. Like I feel bad for the male lead because he keeps apologizing for stuff when honestly he didn’t do anything wrong like it’s not crazy to expect someone you’re dating to talk to you before making major life decisions. And some of the stuff she says to him just feels like she’s straight up gaslighting. I had to quit the book with only a few chapters left because I just couldn’t deal with her anymore.
