When would-be medical student Sami Kierce woke after a night of hard partying, he found himself covered in blood and holding a knife, with a dead girl by his side. Twenty-five years later, he’s working as a P.I. when he spots that same supposedly dead woman in a crowd and takes off after her, desperate to understand what happened all those years before. As always, Coben is a master of breathless, suspenseful action, but the author outdoes himself here, putting Sami in a scenario that taps into our nightmares. Can’t wait for the Netflix series!
I always enjoy reading Harlan’s books. Even more so now that they are turning into Netflix shows. I hope there is a sequel coming soon that delves into the pregnancy.
