Loving it but it could be so much more!
This is my first book from this author and I quite enjoyed it. How can one not be drawn into it with the super sexy panther shifters, strong human women and danger around every corner. It’s quick to get into and keeps you entertained, but...
My one and only criticism is that when the book jumps from one scene to another there’s no warning. I mean, I have to read 1-3 paragraphs before I realize the book shifted from one storyline to another so completely opposite of the other. For example, one paragraph you’re with Liberty then WHAM!! you’re with the bad guys. It’s actually quite annoying, takes you completely out of the story because you have to go back and figure out when the scene changed, and I have a huge thing about things like this that’s making it really hard to give it 4 stars. I originally gave it 5 but the more I thought of it and now that I know it’s an ongoing issue this author has, having started book two, I had to come back and change and edit my review. I had thought I’d end up buying and reading all the books but I’m not so sure anymore. It’s weird because the author uses these panther graphics throughout the book but they make no sense as to why they’re in there. I mean, one is placed in the middle of a sentence! The middle of a sentence. Why? If you’re going to use graphics, use them to let the reader know about the sudden shift. I hope book 2 doesn’t completely turn me off from this series or this author. We shall see....
Typical shifter story
The story was ok; it’s not massively memorable and will likely never read this again. Not a favorite. It wasn’t a violent book the very little violence is around page 400 and isn’t bad in my opinion it’s a pg13 scene.
The main character girl bugged me she giggled every two seconds; basically that twit that twists her hair, giggles and bats her eye lashes at the buff dude every two seconds, while demanding female power and doubts everything she doesn’t understand and pushes for crap like dates and flowers because she is better then the critter courting her.
The only part of the book I think I liked was the violent part, minus the teen.

A Bar name Deuce where it all began. What a story of two sisters, follow on their family business. Liberty and Nova had purpose to continue in the footsteps of their parents. A township comes aware of shifters in the town... how bigotry almost set a pace on a bar mostly of fair of the unknown. The alpha step out with the greatest secret of their presence. Talon handle it with grace and finesse. I couldn’t put it down until it was finished. It’s good to be retirees.
