MC was a Mary Sue and the story had no drive!
To begin with the book seemed promising just from the excerpt but as I started getting into the chapters the main character is very hard to digest so to speak, her dialogue is unrealistic as in she talks like a corny prim and proper snob whom also uses terms that don't fit with being a 26 year old - to me she used dialogue that an older woman would use. On top of everything she is definitely a Mary Sue character good at everything, loaded with money, gets told she's gorgeous, whines a lot over nothing. This book seems very rushed and there is a lot of the main character telling you how she is, what she thinks, she knows everything instead of showing her personality through her actions. To be clear this main character is not demential, in fact none of these characters are. This book was free and I am glad it was because this just did not have anything interesting- the main cause of the mc's heartbreak get's glossed over once she sees "her man" and everything is sunshine and rainbows until the typical over dramatic Mary Sue mc gets angry about something stupid. This was not for me!
