An Ambitious Engagement will win your heart!
Kylie Gilmore does it again! Kylie is fast becoming one of one of my favourite contemporary romance writers after getting me hooked whilst reading The Opposite of Wild. Looks like another book for my favourites list!
An Ambitious Engagement is Kennedy and Luke’s story. I haven’t read all this series yet but I can reassure you, you can definitely follow without feeling lost and you have missed half the background. Also, while you may think this is going to be your typical ‘fairytale romance’ with a predictable fake fiancé storyline, let me tell you, this book will definitely throw you a few curveballs when trying to predict where this book will end up.
Through the dual points of views, we get a true idea of the surprising events that ensue between both and I loved how both Luke and Kennedy tug at your emotions that at times you were torn with who to support for more, in their feelings of who was right and who was wrong. The tension between Luke and Kennedy is ever prevalent from start to finish, yet the simmering chemistry is so clear from the beginning and so addicting that I couldn’t stop reading nor, at times, from wanting to bang this couple’s heads together as the story advances. The family dimensions throw in another mix into learning about who Luke and Kennedy are and how they are more alike than they necessarily realise with wanting to live up to expectation.
Overall, this has a sweet HEA and can be either read as a standalone or as part of the series! I strongly suggest you give this story a read and any other books by this author.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.
Absolutely fantastic!!

It's hard to write a review for this fantastic book without giving away spoilers, so here goes...
WOW!
I didn't expect the rush of emotions to hit me so hard when I read this book.
One moment I was cackling, then roaring with tears in my eyes I laughed so hard. Then just as quick, the tears changed to ones of pure emotion.
Luke Reynolds is a wonderful character. Even with his over-confidence, his tough, arrogant exterior is broken down by one Feisty Ken Ward.
A woman, who's tough herself, cracks under Luke's persistence and she shows her vulnerable side. She cares for her family so much that she puts her own life on hold for them. Making sure that they have everything they need before she allows herself any room to breathe.
The two characters are a perfect match, and when they come together it's with fiery, explosive passion.
This is one book you seriously do not want to miss.
Definitely recommend!!!
