Marry Madeleine Decker? Not in a million years!
Rodeo cowboy Channing Richardson has absolutely no intention of marrying his mother’s best friend’s daughter despite their maternal machinations! Yes, he’s the only unmarried son she has left, but he has no interest in marrying anyone, let alone scholarly city girl Madeleine Decker.
It’s the only thing he and Madeleine agree on. No matter that he’s drop-dead handsome—and smarter than she wants to give him credit for —Madeleine still prefers spinsterhood to marrying infuriating Wyoming bull rider Chan. But mothers who have a PhD in genetics and years of anthropological fieldwork are disinclined to take ‘no’ for an answer.
There’s only one way to convince them: Chan and Madeleine will go down the road from rodeo to rodeo together that summer. Sure, it’s drastic, but proof is the one thing their mothers understand.
Spending two months butting heads, dealing with pulled muscles, ornery bulls, and so many miles of road in an RV the size of a walnut, is maybe not the greatest idea they’ve ever had. The best they can hope for is to escape unscathed.
Unless, of course, their mothers are right.

The Eight Second Wedding
The Eight Second Wedding is book 1 in the Cowboy, Come Home series by Anne McAllister, a new to me author.
When two meddling mothers plot to marry their children based on science…4 sons to 1 daughter except 3 sons choose their own brides. Madeleine decides to prove them wrong and goes on a 2 month Rodeo RV ride with rodeo cowboy, Channing. What happens next…will they survive each other and go their separate way or maybe find they truly belong together…read on to see how it all ends…

Adorable story!
This was a good, happy, feel good read. Sure they had some relationship stuff to work out; but it wasn’t stressful to me as the reader. I look forward to reading the next books in the series!.

Channing and Madeline — their mothers marriage plan
This was such a fun read. Channing, the rodeo Cowboy and Madeline a PhD student whose mothers had been planning a wedding between Madeline and one of the Robinson boys. Julia and her best friend Antonia had been doing research and just knew Madeline and Channing were perfect for one another. The two young people were adamant that they would not be getting arrived. Neither knew the other person. To get the women off their backs they agreed that Madeline would spend 2 months on the road with Channing on the rodeo circuit. A delightfully well written storyline with plenty of humor, clashing personalities, close proximity, bull riders, mixed feelings and tense interactions. I loved the characters. They were well developed, believable and complete opposites. A must read if you’re a fan of Cowboy romances.
